OLAM commissioned Design Motive to create a new visual identity for their mobile intranet, giving employees around the world field access to key news and announcements. The main purpose was to be able to communicate quickly and efficiently to a wide array of regions and individuals. Not only used on the App, the new identity was implemented across all social media UI.


Design Motive deliver the IMI Group Management Conference 2017 to great acclaim. Clear messaging, dynamic graphics and engaging videos helped create an inspiring platform for this year's event.

For me personally, the messages and the energy from my colleagues lit a spark within me that I plan to take to the team back home, and with the help of other leaders from my site, build a big fire of excitement, enthusiasm and can do spirit. No doubt in my mind that we will beat our competition!
Such a positive feeling and great to connect and re-connect with so many colleagues from across the Group. It reminded me what a fantastic organisation that we are all part of and what great progress that we are making to achieve our strategic goals.

Flexibility of message wins for Percy & Reed

Design Motive enables hair care products manufacturer Percy & Reed's regional sales force to differentiate and accelerate sales, through clever positioning and a flexible message matrix.

Each region responded to different brand attributes, so by providing a message matrix that allowed each regional sales person the ability to streamline their value proposition around regional parameters, meant the marketing messages remained consistent, but always relevant.

Pretty Curious campaign goes live.

The Pretty Curious campaign, created and developed by Design Motive aims to inspire teenage girls to imagine a future where they use STEM – science, technology, engineering and maths - to help make a difference.

The report represents a new approach and positioning for the group as it re-organises its business around it's key technology growth markets. The report benefits from the impactful layout of strategy with good linkage and signposting throughout; combined with clear and concise presentation of governance and financial results.

Design Motive produces new corporate brochure

The Design Motive team grasped the opportunity to work with Olam on a significant global re-brand project. Coming out of our 25th anniversary year, we wanted to refresh our brand identity by modernising our logo and tightening our messaging. Design Motive were a supportive and creative partner in this programme – digging under the skin of who we are through interviews and research; developing a range of initial concepts based on those findings; presenting to our senior team; evolving the chosen route and applying the logo to all our working contexts from stationery to buildings to work wear.

This was no simple task, as we opted to go for Business Unit sub-brands and our structure is further complicated by a range of Joint Venture entities, acquired businesses and product brands – all of which needed to be slotted into a logical hierarchy. The branding has had a striking impact on our Board, staff and customers who have felt energised by the new look.

Finally the team at Design Motive translated this great work into a new Corporate video and brochure now both used by our team of 56,000 staff in over 70 countries to help us explain our business.
